(October 4, 2007)—The gates opened officially at 4 p.m. Friday as the annual Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo gets officially underway in Waco.
The fairgrounds opened for several hours for a sneak-preview Thursday night.
As many as 200,000 people may attend the nine-day fair, which continues through next Saturday.
The fairgrounds are open until midnight Friday.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12 and includes access to entertainment, exhibits and the annual rodeo.
On the Bud True Music Stage, The Gordon Collier Band performs at 8 p.m. and Rotel & The Hot Tomatoes perform at 10 p.m.
The rodeo begins at 7 p.m. in the HOT Coliseum.
Gates open at noon on Saturday.
