(October 11, 2007)—Temple police Thursday identified the man whose body was found Wednesday afternoon in a pond near an RV park as Dale Cornett, 50, of Temple.
Cornett was a resident of Lucky’s RV Park at 111 Hart Rd. in Temple, near the pond in which his body was found.
An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death, but police said they will consider the case a homicide until evidence proves otherwise.
It’s not clear how long Cornett’s body was in the water.
One witness told police he last saw the man on Sunday.
Another said he had seen Cornett as recently as Tuesday.
