(October 15, 2007)—The rain held off until Sunday night, nearly 24 hours after this year’s edition of the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo wrapped up, and the good weather may be one factor in what could be a record-setting year for attendance.
Officials are still tallying up the totals, but it appears attendance increased by nearly 15 percent over last year and could exceed 200,000.
In years past, midweek rainstorms have put a damper on fair attendance, but conditions were ideal throughout the fair’s run this year.
