(October 25, 2007)—Gov. Rick Perry has named three people to the Texas Southern University board of regents.
Samuel Lee Bryant of Austin owns Bryant Wealth Investment Group.
Curtistene Smith McCowan of DeSoto had been a senior investigator with the Federal Trade Commission.
She retired in early 2005.
Tracye McDaniel of Houston is executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Greater Houston Partnership.
The three will join the board on Monday.
McCowan and McDaniel have terms that expire Feb. 1, 2009.
Bryant will serve until Feb. 1, 2011.
