(November 3, 2007)—Hotels and motels are packed, and restaurants are busy as thousands of alumni return to Central Texas this weekend for homecoming celebrations at both Baylor University in Waco and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.
The annual observance got into full swing Friday on both campuses.
Baylor’s annual parade, which the university says is the oldest and the largest university homecoming parade in the US, begins at 8:30 a.m.
The parade will wind down Austin Avenue from North 17th Street to North 4th Street, and then will turn toward campus.
At the Interstate, the parade jogs to South 5th Street and then enters the campus.
