Daycare Worker Admits Putting Boy In Trunk Of Car Save Email Print

A | A | A

(November 15, 2007)--A daycare worker near Bremerton, Wash. is facing some legal trouble after she admitted to putting a four-year-old boy in the trunk of her car as a form of punishment.

The boy’s mother called police on Tuesday after overhearing the daycare operator talking about how she put the boy in the trunk when he acted up.

Police say they interviewed the woman and that she admitted to taking the boy out of the back of her car and putting him in the trunk and driving about three-tenths of a mile down the road.

The daycare provider says she did it because the boy was acting up and nearly slammed a door on her hand while she was trying to put him in his car seat.

The day care operator, 57-year-old Linda Clark, owns "Grandma Linda's Day Care" had had her license suspended while the investigation continues.

Clark has not been arrested or cited, but the case has been turned over to the state Department of Social and Health Services.

I hope they press charges! Maybe they should put her in a trunk and see if she likes it!

She must be white, if she was black she would of already been in jail. Thats sad cause she could of killed him. She lucky it wasnt my child I would of beat her old ***.

I just can't believe that they haven't already pressed charges! Anyone who thinks that shoving a child in the trunk because he's acting up obviously has a messed up moral compass!
