Rehnquist Out Of Hospital

Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist was released Friday from National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. where he was treated for thyroid cancer.

Rehnquist, who's 80 years old, is expected to be back on the
bench Monday when the court returns from a two-week break.

As part of his cancer treatment, Rehnquist underwent a
tracheotomy Saturday.

There has been no word on just what kind of thyroid cancer
Rehnquist has, or how advanced it is, and officials haven't talked
about his prognosis.

Generally, thyroid cancer is treatable. But in older people it
can be more aggressive.
