WACO (February 12, 2011)—Workers used a crane Saturday to install a sign on the former Wells Fargo Bank building at 811 Washington Ave. in downtown Waco, which is now home to the Baylor University School of Social Work.

The school made the move into the building late last year and since January, about 250 students, 17 faculty and 17 staff members have been settling in.

The School of Social Work collaborates with more than 100 local nonprofits and more than two-dozen Waco professionals are part-time instructors in the school.

The move into the facility downtown puts the program closer to some of those including Communities In Schools and Waco’s Housing and Community Development department.
