A finalist that would succeed Robert Gates as president of Texas A&M could be named by next month.
Regents Chairman Bill Jones and system Chancellor Mike McKinney
say the board is considering four or five candidates.
Gates left the post about a year ago to become U.S. secretary of
Jones and McKinney said in Thursday's Bryan-College Station
Eagle that all the candidates were under consideration at some
point by the presidential search committee.
