Two of the most important Greenhouse gases are at their highest levels ever in the Earth's atmosphere, according to the United Nations' weather agency.

The latest measurements from the World Meteorological
Organization show carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide levels reached
record highs last year.

The agency says carbon dioxide is playing a bigger role in
contributing to global warming. Eighty-seven percent of the warming
effect was due to carbon dioxide over the last decade, but that
number has risen to 91 percent in the last five years.

The upward trend is expected to continue for at least a few
years.
