Texas A&M could name a new coach as early as Monday or Tuesday.
The Houston Chronicle is reporting in Sunday’s edition that Texans assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, appears to be at the top of the list.
Sherman is also a former A&M offensive line coach and head coach of the Green Bay Packers.
Other names that have come up for consideration include former A&M Defensive coordinator and Notre Dame coach Bob Davie and Boise State coach Chris Petersen.
