(November 27, 2007)--State investigators say they found child pornography among the possessions of a prosecutor who fatally shot himself last year when police arrived at his home.
The police raid of the Terrell home of former Kaufman County district attorney Louis Conradt Jr. was part of a sting arranged by "Dateline NBC: To Catch A Predator."
Police planned to arrest the 57-year-old prosecutor on a warrant accusing him of soliciting sex from a minor.
They say he had online sexual chats with an adult who pretended to be a 13-year-old boy.
A Texas Department of Public Safety report obtained by The Dallas Morning News says the DPS investigation of Conradt's death found evidence of graphic online chats.
Investigators say they also found three laptops, a cell phone and several computer disks in the home, all containing pornography, some involving minors.
Conradt's sister, Patricia Conradt, has sued NBC Universal for $105 million.
