(December 21, 2007)—Gov. Rick Perry Friday granted clemency to a Central Texas man and eight other Texans on the recommendation of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Perry granted a full pardon to Kenton Jerrod Davis, 34, of Killeen who was convicted of unlawfully carrying a weapon in 1993 when he was 19.

He was sentenced to three days in jail and fined $350, Perry’s office said.

Raymond Isreal Casas of Victoria, 36, convicted of unauthorized use of a vehicle in 1989. At age 18, he was sentenced to 10 years probation and payment of $100 restitution. He is now a decorated hospital corpsman in the United States Navy, serving on active duty in Iraq. He is granted a full pardon and restoration of firearm rights.

Betty Jean Martinez Minica Dobbins of San Antonio, 70, convicted of attempted tax evasion in 1967. She was sentenced to 3 years probation and fined $7,500. She is granted a restoration of civil rights of a federal offense.

Clark Byron Jordan, Sr. of Pearland, 61, convicted of transporting a stolen vehicle in 1966 at the age of 20. He was sentenced to 6 years in Federal Youth Correction and probation. He is granted a restoration of civil rights.

Alfred James Milligan of Kennedale, 34, convicted of theft in 1997. He was sentenced to one day in jail. He is granted a full pardon and restoration of firearm rights.

Rubina Naheed Mohammed of Irving, 41, convicted of misdemeanor assault 2001. She was sentenced to 6 days in jail and fined $100. She is granted a full pardon.

Anthony James Petkas of Houston, 55, convicted of robbery in 1973 at the age of 21. He was sentenced to five years in prison. He is granted a full pardon and restoration of firearm rights.

Michelle Christine Rocha of Conroe, 43, convicted of misdemeanor assault in 1996. She was sentenced to 2 years probation and fined $500. She is granted a full pardon.

Kimberly Ann Stewart of Winters, 34, convicted of theft by check in 1995. She was sentenced to 1 year probation and fined $400. She is granted a full pardon.
