(December 24, 2007)--A part-time worker at Big Bend National Park decorated two ornaments for the White House Christmas tree with scenes of the park and the Rio Grande.

Beatrice Molinar White is a Midland native and art graduate of Sul Ross State University.

She got to see her handiwork on display at an East Wing reception for artists who worked on the ornaments.

The theme for this year's tree is "Holiday in the National Parks."

It's a project overseen by First Lady Laura Bush.

A supervisor at Big Bend asked White about creating the ornaments this summer.
