HOUSTON (October 14, 2011)--Investigators say a fiery two-vehicle accident at a north Houston toll booth killed both drivers.
Harris County authorities say the crash involving a truck and a car happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday at an unmanned toll booth.
Officials say an 18-wheeler evidently hit a concrete barrier, and then landed on the car.
Assistant Chief Deputy Constable Mark Herman said it appears the
person in the car had stopped to pay a toll when the accident happened.
The names of the victims have not been released.
The wreck affected westbound lanes of the North Sam Houston
Traffic was diverted because of the crash.
