(January 14, 2008)--Fired Baylor football coach Guy Morriss declined an offer Monday to become head coach at a high school near Lexington, Ky.

Morriss, who had a 9-14 record at Kentucky during the 2001 and '02 seasons, was offered the vacant coaching job at Boyle County High School about 30 miles south of Lexington.

Morriss owns a farm in the area and was considering a return to Kentucky.

But Boyle County athletics director Jim Spears says Morriss says it just wasn't the right time in his life to make this move.

Morriss was fired in November after five seasons at Baylor, where he had a record of 18-40.
