Amtrak Train Clips Dump Truck In Central Texas
An Amtrak train clipped the back end of a pickup truck Monday at a Central Texas crossing.

An Amtrak train clipped the back of a dump truck Monday at a crossing near Round Rock.
The train was on Amtrak’s Texas Eagle route, which passes through Temple and McGregor.
No injuries were reported, but the Texas Department of Public Safety said the truck, which was full of dirt, was heavily damaged.
The train did not leave the tracks and was cleared to resume travel in less than two hours.
There were 85 passengers and eight crewmembers aboard the eight-car Amtrak train, which as traveling from San Antonio to Fort Worth.
DPS officials are investigating.
