Fort Hood Confirms Deaths Of Three Soldiers
Fort Hood Wednesday confirmed the deaths of three soldiers since Saturday; two in traffic accidents and one whose death is under investigation.

(January 23, 2008)—Three Fort Hood soldiers have died since Saturday, the Army confirmed Wednesday; two in traffic accidents and a third of unknown causes.

Sgt. Jose Rueben Martinez, 30, of Sinton died Saturday in a traffic accident in Williamson County.

He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s 3rd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade.

Pfc. Bryan Christopher Lounsbury, 18, of Cambridge, Mass. died Monday after a vehicle struck him as he stood alongside a road.

He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry.

Sgt. Joshua Michael Holt, 26, of Lubbock was found dead Monday at what Fort Hood described as a location off-post.

The cause of Holt’s death is under investigation.

He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s 115th Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team.
