(January 24, 2008)–An auto crash along west State Highway 6 a mile south of Speegleville Rd slowed traffic to a crawl just as area residents were headed to work Thursday Morning.

Two cars were involved and at least two persons were injured.

One vehicle was overturned and one of the occupants in that vehicle was an infant.

Waco police and fire units were on the scene to aid with moving the injured.

Police on the scene say the infant did not appear to be injured.

The drivers of both vehicles were loaded into East Texas Medical Center ambulances and taken to an area hospital.

Southbound traffic was backed up for more than a mile and at times halted so that emergency crews could clear the wreckage. North bound traffic remained unaffected.

Traffic was flowing normally again by 9 a.m.
