Dennis Fisher, 41, of Waco died Thursday night in Louisiana when his motorcycle hit an object in the road on eastbound Highway 378 and then slammed into an SUV that was stopped on the highway.
Fisher was wearing a helmet labeled “Novelty item only, wear at your own risk,” authorities said. He did not have a motorcycle certification on his driver’s license, they said.
The SUV driver, who had stopped to remove the object from the road, was ticketed for stopping and standing on the road.
