Limbaugh asked the state's high court to overturn a ruling that would open his medical records to prosecutors.
The 4-to-3 decision did not explain the court's reasoning.
Limbaugh, who has not been charged with any crime, argued that the seizure of his records threatens the privacy of all Floridians.
He's being supported on that point by the American Civil Liberties Union.
