At least 22 people died Friday in attacks in Iraq, including at least 14 who were killed in a suicide bombing south of Baghdad.
Eight officers were killed earlier in a car bombing that hit a police minibus in Tikrit.
Meanwhile the bodies of 12 people found in an Iraqi trash dump have been taken to Baghdad's central morgue.
An official says families have identified some of the victims as farmers who disappeared on their way to market to sell their produce.
At least one victim was wearing a traffic officer's uniform.
The victims had been shot. Their remains were found today in shallow graves at the dump. Most appear to be young men.
Residents sifting through garbage for scrap metal and other saleable items stumbled across the first bodies.
Reports conflict as to whether there are 12 bodies or 14.
