I met Diana at a bingo place in Dallas where she told me that she was there at Dallas visiting her sister Mary. I miss that little old gypsey women. I was 15 at the time I met her. Now I am 19

Diana was a sweet and gentle hearted soul, who never did harm to anybody. She enjoyed lots of things, like spending time with her grandchildren and youngest daughter Jenny; She alwaysed enjoyed going to church and visiting her best friends; Donna, Rebeca,Esmeralda, and Granny; Diana had many hobbies, which include dancing, reading, traveling, and her favorite of all "Bingo" especailly when she came home with lots of winning money. Diana was best known for her very funny laughter and her cute witty bandanas and not to mention her sometimes mixmatch clothing. Well Diana will be missed by all those who cared and loved her, but now she is in heaven with the Lord, because she was a loving and sweet human being.

HAS ANYONE NOTICED HOW MANY OF THESE MURDER-SUICIDES WE HAVE IN THIS AREA. WERE THERE NOT ANY WARNING SIGNS? IF PEOPLE WERE ONLY A LITTLE MORE AWARE OF A FRIEND'S SITUATION. IF THE AUTHORITIES WERE A LITTLE MORE ACCEPTING OF INFORMATION AND A LITTLE MORE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST IN THESE MATTERS. I'M SURE THEY GET SICK OF GOING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALLS, BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT HAD SOMEONE BEEN A LITTLE MORE CAUTIOUS AND WARY, WE WOULD NOT HAVE LOST OUR BEAUTIFUL DEE MAHAN LAST APRIL.

Dian was a loving person who enjoyed making friends with people she would meet in social events, churches, parties, dances, and at bingos. I met Diana when I was about 10 years old and have always been her friend. We would travel to many cities around Texas including Three Rivers, Pleasonton, Dallas, and our favorite place San Juan, TX. As I recall I had never had a friend who would be so much fun to be with; I mean there was so much laughter and some embarrasments, like the time we where at a night club in Troy, Diana and I decided it was time to call it a night, so when we walked to the parking lot trying to find her car we came across to one that happend to be the same model and year. So there we are trying to open the door open, but we couldn't and just before you know it the actual owner of the car came by and shouted "Hey ladies thats my car, your's is parked up in the front". Then he said "I know because I tried opening yours too". Well anyways I will miss her forever.

There wasn't a kinder or gentler soul than Diane.

I am trying to find out if Jerry Dean Busby is the son of Lena Busby and brother to Gary Busby. Can anyone tell me?

Are we talking about the article, or about age. My God, someone has dies, and you care about whether they are elder or not. What difference does it make? Dead is dead and living is living, no matter the age. I can't believe somebody would care about how they are labeled compared to some's one death. It's very sad when someone is more concerned about how they appear, the how they can actually are.

I don't consider 60 elderly either. But you can hardly fault a reported for referring to you as elderly or senior citizens when you can join AARP and get senior citizens discounts at 55.

Posted by: rick Location: waco on Feb 17, 2008 at 05:41 PM
marj, when you were in your teens and 20s i know you refered to 60 an 61year olds as elderly, the only reason now is you are that age

Posted by: Marj Location: Temple on Feb 16, 2008 at 10:17 PM
A few of us who are 60 and 61 years, such as Dolly Parton, Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, Susanne Sommers and Marj Haynes do not consider ourselves to be elderly. One of your young reporters continually refer to us as elderly and we are somewhat weary of the title. Anyone 80 and upward might be considered elderly.
