Central Texas Man Shot to Death In Car
Police are looking for leads in the shooting death of a man Saturday evening.

(February 16, 2008) - Waco police are investigating the murder of a man found dead in his car Saturday night.

Police responded to a call at about 7:00 pm in the 1200 block of Adams St. in Waco and found 29-year-old Melvin James Sloan sitting behind the wheel of a white, Ford Crown Victoria.

Sloan had suffered several gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Police say there are no witnesses who saw the shooting happen.

No suspects have been named at this time.
