HOUSTON (June 20, 2012)—Rapper Trae Tha Truth was one of at least two men wounded in a shooting that left three people dead at a parking lot outside a southwest Houston strip mall, a publicist said.

A spokeswoman for the rapper, whose real name is Frazier Thompson III, said he was shot in the shoulder early Wednesday after performing at a club nearby.

Nancy Byron says she does not believe Thompson was targeted.

Police said shots were fired outside Score's Cabaret soon after 3 a.m. Wednesday while hundreds of people were in the parking lot.

Police said two men and a woman died at the scene, while Thompson and another man were taken to hospitals.

Hospital spokeswoman Lynne Sullivant said the rapper was treated and later released.

No arrests have been made.

KTRK TV reports that witnesses said more than 20 shots were fired in the parking lot of the strip club.
