(February 28, 2008)--Homeland Security officials met Thursday withEl Paso-area residents to hear what they think about the placement of 57 miles of border fencing.

Residents and property owners along the U.S. border with Mexico have complained loudly about construction of the fence.

Federal lawsuits have been filed against more than 50 property owners who are refusing to give the government access to their property.

The five new sections of fencing will cover largely rural areas of El Paso and Hudspeth counties.

According to detailed drawings of the proposed fence, the structure will be a two-layer wire mesh fence that stands about 15-feet high and be able to withstand 90 mph winds.

I can't believe that the property owners object to the fence. Don't they object to the illegals trample around their property, leave trash and make their neighborhood unsafe? Not to mention what they do to our country. The property owners must be Mexicans running stash houses or our government invented an excuse not to build the wall - YES, THAT MUST BE IT!!!

Give them a choice, and 1 only. Which side of the fence do you want to be on?
