(March 4, 2008)--An autopsy finds a toddler who died at a Hutto day care center choked on a hot dog.

The Austin American-Statesman reports no foul play was found in the death of 2-year-old Semaya Simon.

An autopsy report by Tarrant County Chief Medical Examiner Nizam Peerwani said the death was accidental.

Semaya began choking at A Mother's Choice Child Development & Learning Center last week in Central Texas.

She was taken by emergency personnel to Round Rock Medical Center, where she died.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services' childcare licensing department is still investigating the death.

I am a mother of a 2yr old and a 3 yr old and they both attend daycare as well....how can the child choke on a hot dog if it was cut in small enough pieces? If it wasnt then they daycare employees need to be shown the proper way to cut up food for children that small and I also believe that they need to learn how to do the heimlich maneauver on children thar small so that if they do start choking, employees can help them and keep them from choking....my prayers go out to the family of this child and pray that the daycare owner looks closely at all their employees and requires that they get the proper training...rest in peace little one....
