BELLMEAD (August 16, 2012)—A Thursday morning fire damaged a garage near a Bellmead home but quick action by the fire department spared the house.
The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. at an address on Kane Street, in Bellmead.
When firefighters arrived they found a detached garage in flames.
Firefighters had the blaze under control within a few minutes and damage to the garage was limited.
A nearby house was spared from damage.
No one was hurt.
