MOODY (August 16, 2012)—Farm-to-Market Road 107 west of Moody was closed Thursday afternoon while HazMat crews dealt with a liquid nitrogen spill.
A truck-tractor, semi-trailer hauling the gas overturned Thursday just after noon along FM 107 about 3 miles west of Moody and the crash resulted in a spill from the tank trailer.
The driver of the rig was injured and taken from the scene by ambulance to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The highway was closed in both directions and residents within about 800 yards were being warned away from the area.
The Department of Public Safety had troopers on the scene and fire crews from McGregor, Moody and Gatesville also responded to the scene.
