MC LENNAN COUNTY (August 30, 2012)—Department of Public Safety troopers and rescue units from the Woodway Department of Public Safety were responding Thursday morning to a two-vehicle crash at Farm-to-Market 185 and Dosher Lane.

A Department of Public Safety communications officer at about 7:30 a.m. said FM 185 was blocked in both directions because of the wreck but by 8:30 a.m. the roadway had been re-opened.

The investigating DPS trooper said the accident happened when a Chevrolet pick up truck that was westbound on FM 185 attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Dosher Lane and was struck from behind by a van.

The driver of the van had to be cut from the wreckage of the vehicle and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of what troopers called non life-threatening injuries.
