Police Arrest Two Minutes After Residential Burglary

By: Paul J. Gately Email

KILLEEN (August 31, 2012)—Killeen police arrested a man and a woman they say had burglarized a home when the two were stopped with stolen goods in the bed of their truck.

On Tuesday at about 10:30am, patrol officers stopped a silver truck that was occupied by a man and a woman.

As officers looked into the truck they noticed a washer and dryer and another appliance.

Officers reported the water hoses still were attached to the washer but had been cut off about five inches from the connections.

Officers were able to establish the appliances they’d found had been stolen from a residence in the 9100 block of Devonshire just a short time earlier.

Detectives had this case reviewed with the Bell County District Attorney's Office and a complaint was returned charging Zachary Charles Williams, 26, and Jessica Leigh Talbot, 24, both of whom were ordered held in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond each.
