WACO (September 4, 2012)—Police were searching for a man who walked into a south Waco convenience store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register.
Officers were sent to Sammy’s Food Mart at Richter and Bagby at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday where the clerk reported a man had come into the store, pulled a gun and demanded all the money from the cash register.
Police at the scene said the gunman was either an Hispanic or light-skinned black man, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and about 120 pounds, dressed in dark shorts and shirt and a baseball cap.
The clerk said the gunman ran from the store and through a gate into an adjacent apartment complex and disappeared.
He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash but no one was injured.
