Officers discovered the body of Robert N. Sommer,46, of
Albuquerque, N.M. in a motel room. A second cabbie later reported he had transported a man, matching the suspect's description, to a Wal-Mart.
Police arrested Brian Jensen,49, of Albuquerque on a murder charge as he left the store. Jensen, who had a gun when arrested, was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Both men had been working construction but police say a motive for the shooting is still under investigation. He also faces fraud and forgery charges in Gila County, Ariz. Jensen’s bond was set at $1 Million.
