The video titled "Anatomy of a Disaster" has been released by
the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, examining
the causes of the blast.
Sunday is the three-year anniversary of the explosion, which
killed 15 people and injured more than 170 others. The safety board
is the federal agency that investigates chemical explosions and
spills.
The nearly hourlong video>> posted on the safety board's video Web site highlights the agency's findings as detailed in a 341-page
report. That written report was released on the second anniversary
of the blast last year.
The video reiterates findings that BP budget cuts paved the way
for the tragedy.

What a surprise! The already wealthy- beyond- belief oil company cut the budget to save money, thus putting safety at risk, and it cost FIFTEEN people their lives and untold injury to 170 other people. And you wonder why folks hate the big oil companies or any company that's just in it for the money. Seems all they really care about is greed and the bottom line. This isnt supposed to happen in modern times. This would have been common in the coal mines, oil field, wherever-- of the early days of American industrialization and exploitation of workers one would think had been eradicated. For Shame!
