(March 26, 2007)—Mary A. Craig of Wortham has received a $50,000 check after winning the top prize in the Texas Lottery’s new “Right on the Money” scratch off game, the Lottery Commission said Wednesday.

Craig claimed the prize just a week after the new game was introduced on March 17.

“We couldn’t believe what we saw,” Craig said.

She says she was “shocked and delighted” to discovery she’d purchased a winning ticket.

Eight more $50,000 prizes remain to be claimed in the new game, along with 13 second-tier prizes worth $5,000 each, the Lottery Commission said.

In all, the game offers more than $24.7 million in prizes, the commission said.

Craig purchased the winning ticket at the Jiffy Mart at 2821 W. 7th Ave. in Corsicana, the commission said.
