Good Morning!
Good morning, it’s a cloudy Friday March 28 and there’s a slight chance of rain tonight. It’s not often that the arrival of a single soldier draws worldwide attention, but that was the case 50 years ago today at Fort Hood.

Good morning, it’s Friday, March 28, the 88th day of 2008. There are 278 days left in the year. The forecast calls for a mostly cloudy sky with highs around 70 and a slight chance of showers tonight.

Fifty years ago today, on March 8, 1958, Elvis Presley arrived to begin basic and advanced training at Fort Hood. (Just coincidentally, W. C. Handy, the “Father of the Blues,” died on the same day in New York City at the age of 84).
