WACO (September 27, 2012)-Waco police were searching for a robbery suspect early Thursday morning after two victims reported they were attacked by a man with a knife near the downtown Waco Hilton Hotel.
No one was injured but the robber got away with the victim's belongings and a small amount of cash, according to Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton.
A Waco police records clerk said officers were sent at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday to the area of University Parks Drive at the historic Waco Suspension Bridge where they found the victims on the street.
The two victims said they were walking across the bridge when a Hispanic man approached them, pulled out a knife and demanded their property.
Swanton said the robber was described as a Hispanic man, with a mustache and beard, wearing a black shirt, black shoes and a cap.
Swanton said the victims reported the robber had several tattoos and was bald.
Police searched the area but weren’t able to find a suspect.
