(March 31, 2008)--A jury determined Monday in the Bahamas that Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son died from an accidental drug overdose and the seven-member panel recommended no criminal charges.

Daniel Smith was born in Mexia where his mother once worked in a chicken restaurant before becoming a Playboy model and TV reality show star.

The jury deliberated less than two hours before returning the verdict Monday, ending an inquest that started in November.

The son of the former Playboy playmate died in September 2006 after traveling to the Bahamas to meet his new baby sister.

His mother died early the next year.

An autopsy found that Daniel likely died from a combination of drugs, including methadone and antidepressants.
