WACO (September 28, 2012)—An electrical problem caused a small fire early Friday in a Waco home that was contained to the laundry room but did smoke damage to the rest of the house.

Firefighters were sent at about 7:45 a.m. to a house at 4206 Hermosa, just south of Kendall Lane, where the first units at the scene reported light smoke in the house.

The residents of the house all had evacuated by the time firefighters arrived and no one was injured.

A firefighter at the scene said the fire itself was contained to one room, but smoke did some damage to the rest of the house.

The family was not displaced.
