SALADO (October 9, 2012)—A Salado woman has posted bond and been released from the Bell County Jail after her arrest in connection with a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian injured.

Ana Laura Govea, 39, was charged with accident involving injury-failure to stop and render aid in connection with a Saturday accident during which a pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck that left the scene of the accident.

Police were sent at about 7:50 a.m. Saturday to an address on Stage Coach Road, where witnesses said a pedestrian was struck by a red Ford pick up truck and did not stop.

Officers found pieces of the truck at the scene and identified Govea as a suspect.

Police arrested Govea when they found the truck and noticed a mirror missing.

She was booked into the Bell County Jail on Sunday and released on Monday after posting a $50,000 bond, according to the jail log.
