(April 10, 2008)—Killeen police Thursday were investigating a shooting that sent a 23-year-old man to the hospital Wednesday night.

The victim, whose name was not released, was struck by a shot fired from someone in a Dodge Magnum around 8 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Bundrant in Killeen.

Witnesses told investigators the car pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex and then someone inside began shooting.

Officers found the victim on an apartment balcony.

He was airlifted to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he was treated and then later released.

Police are looking for a dark-colored Dodge Magnum with dark tinted windows and 22-inch rims in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Killeen police at (254) 501-8830 or Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477.

WOW! What a novel idea, for a police officer to investigate a crime scene???? McGregor, are you listening? McGregor PD did not investigate the questionable death of my son, Joshua, in Amsler Park on February 16,2006! Per Interim Chief Molina, "We don't begin an investigation until something suspicious is found." Per my investigation, learning basic forensics, rigor mortis, cadaveric spasm, manner and cause of death, digestive processes pertaining to the time of death, tardieu spots, and "Red-purple parenchyma wth pulmonary edema". (Find info on THAT!) Officer Jared Norris ran a 27-29 check (wants/warrants) on the unrecognized subject only 8 minutes of arriving on scene. There was NO identification or a suicide note on subject. All officers stated they did not recognize suject, YET had a NAME and DATE OF BIRTH to do the check! Hmmmmmmmm????????? Four of the five officers on scene, were asked to resign in June, 2006. THIS IS A STRANGE STORY!! Contact me
