WACO (October 25, 2012)—Waco police Thursday identified the man whose body was found early Wednesday in a polling place where early voting is underway as Martin Luther Trammel, 55.

Police said he lived in the Waco area.

Trammel’s body was found just before 7 a.m. Wednesday in a restroom in the Waco Multipurpose Facility at 1020 Elm St.

The building is adjacent to the Doris Miller YMCA on what used to be the campus of Paul Quinn College.

Trammel man entered the building at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, shortly before closing time, went into the restroom area and never came out.

Employees found his body Wednesday morning.

It’s not clear why he was in the building, police said.

He may have died of a medical problem, police said, and his body was sent to Dallas for an autopsy.

Police found no evidence of foul play.
