(April 12, 2008)--Dallas police have released the name of a 41-year-old woman killed when a cement truck flipped onto her sport-utility vehicle.

Mary Angelica Gamez was killed immediately Friday afternoon in the crash on State Highway 183 near Interstate 35-E, police said.

Her 5-year-old daughter was injured in the crash, but police said she was in stable condition at Children's Medical Center at Dallas.

Her name wasn’t released.

Police say the cement truck driven by 31-year-old Edward Magallon vaulted a center barrier and landed on the SUV.

Magallon told police he was driving north on 183 when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, which caused the truck to hit the center barrier and flip into the northbound lanes, where it struck a motorcycle and landed on top of the SUV.

Police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said Magallon was treated for a leg injury and released.

He says the motorcyclist, 34-year-old Miguel Gutierrez, remained in serious condition at Parkland
Memorial Hospital.
