LORENA (December 22, 2012)-A chain reaction of accidents involved 13 cars had Interstate 35 traffic moving extremely slowly just north of Lorena this morning.

Paramedics treated injuries at the scene but no one was transported to the hospital.

The first accident involved seven cars.

The slow down in traffic caused another accident involving four cars, shortly after that two more cars collided.

Several Department of Public Safety troopers along with police and fire units from Robinson were at the scene just after 9 a.m. trying to keep traffic moving near the 326 mile marker.

The crash happened in the inside lane of the highway and traffic was restricted to the outside lane on the northbound side.

An official from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was cleared at 11:28 a.m.
