ROBINSON (December 24, 2012)—A Robinson man died just after noon Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

A Robinson Police Department news release said Jimmy Don Chittum, 50, was riding his motorcycle near the intersection of South Robinson Drive and Kettler Street when he collided with a car that was being driven by a 77-year-old Robinson woman.

The driver’s name was not released.

The police report says Chittum was taken by ambulance from the scene to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center’s emergency room where he later was pronounced dead.

There was no mention of an autopsy.

The release says Robinson police still are investigating the accident.
