Thousands Without Power Christmas Morning In Central Texas

CENTRAL TEXAS (December 25, 2012)—Thousands of residential customers were without power on Christmas morning after storms rolled through the area.

A check of he Oncor website showed more than 2,240 customers without power in McLennan County, more than 2,100 of them in Waco

In Bell County there were more than 3,036 customers without power, 3,026 of them in Killeen.

Oncor reported power should be restored to all areas by 10 a.m.

Thunderstorms rolled through the area beginning at about 5 a.m. and resulting high winds and heavy rain were likely to blame for the outages, Oncor said.
