KILLEEN (December 31, 2012)—A shooting incident that resulted in a three-vehicle accident Sunday that sent at least two people to an area hospital was under investigation.

Killeen police say they believe the gunshots and the accident were related.

Police say at about 2 p.m. Sunday a man reported he was driving in the area of Rancier and 4th Street when four men in a white pick up truck shot at his vehicle.

Officers reported the driver said he ran a red light at 10th Street and Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard to try to escape the men who were shooting at him and that’s when his car and two others were involved in a collision.

At least two people were taken by ambulance from the scene with undisclosed injuries.

There was no report Sunday if police had found the men suspected of shooting at the victim.
