BELTON (December 31, 2012)—Two women were taken to an area hospital Sunday afternoon after the car in which they were riding crashed into a house.
Belton police say the driver of a Toyota Camry said her brakes failed as she was driving along East S Street and she was unable to stop before she hit a mailbox, a cable television outlet box, an air conditioner and finally the exterior of a house.
The home, according to police, was not seriously damaged but in all the result likely will cost thousands of dollars to repair.
A person who lives in the home said a pick up truck had been parked in the driveway just moments before but it had been moved and was not damaged.
Two women in the car were taken to Seaton Hospital with what police called minor injuries.
