19 Arrested In Prostitution Sting Save Email Print

A | A | A

(May 2, 2008)--Longview police say they arrested 19 men during a prostitution sting in which female officers posed as prostitutes.

The men, who ranged in age from 21 to 58, were booked into the Gregg County Jail Thursday on misdemeanor prostitution charges.

One also was charged with indecent exposure and another also was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Police said the sting was in response to complaints by merchants and residents along part of East Marshall Avenue.

the undercover officers look way too good, they only catch first timers that way. if they want the seasoned johns they need to put out some ugly no tooth sores on the face crack heads.

Seems like the previous viewers have been or are thinking of becoming future Johns. The police were there because local businesses (tax payers) complained of prostitution.

It is bad for the local businesses and residents of the area when prostitutes are standing on corners. Would you like that activity on your street?

Posted by: Anonymous on May 3, 2008 at 08:25 PM
Seems to me like entrapment

Posted by: hmmm Location: small town on May 3, 2008 at 02:57 PM

Law enforcement to scared to go after the real problem, has to pick on easy go easy come people. Must make them feel like a god with their trump up badges and over zealous attitudes.
