Texas Teens Charged With Corpse Abuse Save Email Print

A | A | A

(May 8, 2008)--Three Kingwood teenagers have been arrested and accused of digging up a secluded grave in Humble and removing a skull.

Kevin Wade Jones, 17, and Matthew Richard Gonzalez, 17, told Houston police they and a 16-year old juvenile dug up a grave around March 15.

According to court documents, they removed the skull from the coffin and converted it into a "bong," to smoke marijuana.

Jones and Gonzalez were arrested Wednesday night and are held on misdemeanor abuse of a corpse charges.

The juvenile was referred to Harris County juvenile justice system.

Houston police said they were initially interviewing Jones about the use of a stolen debit card when he told them about the grave theft.

Gonzalez confirmed the story to investigators in a follow-up interview.

A woman who answered the phone at Gonzalez's home, said, "I have no comment right now."

Attempts to locate a telephone number for Jones were not immediately successful.

The grave belonged to Willie Simms.

This dosen't sound satanic to me just really stupid. "Devil grass" (lol) is the least of our problems right now. And Willie Simms dosen't really care, trust me. These kids just need a good pop upside the head. What were they thinking?

I have never seen such crimes, immoral behavior in young people or just "people going crazy". This goes beyond stupid. This is sick.

Some kids do stupid things. Back in the day, we might have been pot heads. After getting high, who the heck has energy to dig up a grave. Thats alot of work. Seems like the buzz would wear off and they would come to their sense. Ooops obviously they have no sense. How cold can these kids get.

They need to be judged with harsh punishments.

The saddest thing is that when this guy was alive. If someone offered him drugs, he probably said, "Over my dead body!" Shame really.

Posted by: Lauren Location: Coolidge on May 9, 2008 at 10:07 AM
What sick potheads! How would they like someone to disicrate one of their loved ones graves/bodies.
